Fandom Mashups (63)

Fandom Mashups is a feature hosted by Lunar Rainbows Reviews. There's a different scenario each week, and you choose a "dream team" of five characters from five different fandoms whom you think are best suited for the situation.

This week's topic is:
You've discovered a priceless magical object that allows you to open up portals into other realities: which worlds will you visit?

  1. Hogwarts: OMGOMGOMGOMG! No more waiting for my letter to arrive by owl post! This is absolutely the first place I'm portaling to!
  2. The Night Court: Hello Feyre and Rhysand, but especially hellooooo, Rhys! XD I completely fell in love with the Night Court while reading A Court of Mist and Fury, and I NEED to see this wondrous place for myself!
  3. The world of Avatar: The Last Airbender: All of it: the homes of the Northern and Southern Water Tribes, the Air Temples, the Earth Kingdom, and the Fire Nation. ALL. OF. IT.
  4. Westeros: I realize that many a Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire character has died in this brutal world, but I still want to visit it anyway! XD
  5. Steampunk Victorian England: As depicted in series like Cassandra Clare's The Infernal Devices and Gail Carriger's The Parasol Protectorate. I just love this historical period, and I love the twist that steampunk brings to it.

  1. THE WORLD OF AVATAR!!!! What the actual F*** HOW did I leave THAT one of my list?! Take me with you Lee!!!

YES Wizarding World - I had no doubt that'd be in the top spot, as it should be ♥ YES Night Court. That setting swept me off my feet (as did Rhysand)! Oh and I do love me some Victorian England :)

    1. Hell yeah- we're going to have so much fun! We should also plan on making a visit to the Night Court, too. XD

  3. HOGWARTS. I thoroughly approve of this choice. I would also go to Middle-earth and Discworld :)

    1. Hogwarts is definitely the place to be! I'd love it so much there, I'd probably never get to visit any of the other worlds, lol.

  4. Hogwarts. 100% Hogwarts. And of course Camp Half-Blood, and maybe Panem if I can survive it (fingers crossed I don't get reaped) and I agree wholeheartedly with Westeros. I'd love to just go for a drink with Daenarys and plot world domination (and kill Joffery myself. Hated that kid)

    1. I'm too much of a chicken to go near Panem, lol. And Joffrey has to be one of the most hated fictional characters ever!

  5. Steampunk England, and Westeros- definitely. So many cool places to see there- the Wall, beyond the Wall, Highgarden, etc. As long as I had a lot of armed men or a magical way to get out of trouble quick! lol

    1. Better be prepared with both, lol. There are so many sketchy characters in Westeros, and you never know who you can really trust. I think I'd definitely want to have a magical escape handy!

  6. Ah, yes, I would for sure want to go to Hogwarts, too! It's such a fantastical place and so wondrous that I would probably be quite happy to just live there. I would never get tired of the magic, and if I can come back to this world and the people I love (or take the people I love through with me) I would be content. Absolutely.

Thinking about it, there are actually worlds I've read and been captivated by but would never want to visit. Because they're vicious or violent or just too dangerous, despite the wonderful people who live there. If I had the chance, though, maybe I'd go to them anyway. Just to see all the wonder of the worlds I've fallen for over time. xx

    1. There are some dystopian worlds that I've read about that I think would be interesting to experience for myself, but at the same time, I know I wouldn't last very long in them because I'm definitely not a Katniss, lol. I'd much rather go to Hogwarts! XD
