Work has been supercrazybusy lately, and it's been really tough finding time to do anything but work, eat, shower, and sleep these past few weeks, lol. I try not to think about how off track I've fallen with my Goodreads reading challenge; I know it's a goal that I've only set for myself, but after failing last year, I really wanted to stay on course this year. I have a 3 day weekend coming up in 2 weeks, so even if I spend my extra day off doing nothing but reading, that would be perfectly fine with me! :D

I do hope that things will calm down for you soon Lee! I know what you mean, I've failed my GR challenge the last two year and it's a shame I feel I'll never shake off LOL! Hopefully that upcoming long weekend will be good to you :) Here's to a wonderful June ♥
ReplyDeleteI'm trying not to pressure myself too much over the GR reading challenge, but I know I could easily make my goal if I just had a few more hours in the day. Or a Time-Turner. XD
DeleteAhh I hope work starts to slow down a bit so you can relax a bit more! I hate it when work takes over life sometimes but I guess that mean's I'm not exactly in a job that I dreamed to be in. Ah well, need to pay rent and travel somehow!
ReplyDeleteHow good is Game of Thrones?! I'm only up to episode four of season five so I haven't read your posts, but I'm super excited a New Zealander is in it! (Keisha Castle-Huhges, one of the daughters of Oberyn's) Although as of episode four I'm a bit iffy with her accent.

The episode that just aired here Sunday (#8) was awesome! Lots of action, which is what I think has been a little lacking so far this season. I thought the Sand Snakes were so badass in the books, but I feel like they haven't been given a whole lot to do on the show so far. We'll see, though, because the show loves saving all of the fireworks for the end of the season!
DeleteLook at the awesome books you've read and reviewed for this month - definitely an accomplishment despite being busy. :D That three day weekend sounds wonderful though - reading will be the perfect way to spend it!
ReplyDeleteI'm counting down the days, lol! It'll definitely be nice to have some extended, quality reading time!
Deleteugh! I feel you, reading is the easy part, the blogging task is what's getting to me. I've been posting quick reviews so I can have blogging days off. It also hurt that the book I've read lately are either meh or bad. Ugh!
ReplyDeleteQuick reviews are a great idea! Taking days off from blogging is so important; I've done that quite a bit this year, and I'm a lot happier, at least on the blogging front, lol.
