Most Anticipated Moment
There are quite a few suspenseful scenes in the Harry Potter series. The most anticipated moment for me was finding out about Snape’s history with Harry’s parents, specifically Lily, and just finding out about him in general. Throughout the whole series, you know that Snape has some kind of connection to Harry. Snape has an obvious interest in the kid but doesn’t necessarily show affection towards him. You are also led to believe that Snape is evil but are then shown situations where Snape in a way “saves the day.” I was so confused and despite my best efforts could not figure Snape out. Finally finding out Snape’s motives and reasons behind his actions was definitely well worth the wait.
Ah! The mystery that was Snape! I don't think ANY of us could have guessed his true motivations. Throughout the series I went back and forth with giving him the benefit of the doubt and hating his guts. Then, by the end of HPB I was all like: he's EVIL, there's just NO WAY, there's NO going back now...only for me to be floored by the big reveal in DH XD You're right too Ally, it was TOTALLY worth the wait^^ Awesome pick!
ReplyDeleteHahaha, I was also pretty done with Snape at the end of HBP. I didn't think that there was any good explanation to redeem him from his actions but I was wrong. When the truth came out I was completely shocked lol.

ReplyDeleteI know! He definitely went from one of the characters I most hated to one of my favorites in the span of a single chapter.
DeleteI agree with Snape but my favorite was a more subtle yet powerful moment. I loved the ending fight scene between Harry and Voldemort, where Harry slowly explains to Voldemort about the Elder Wand and how it's alliegance wasn't to who he thought it was.
ReplyDeleteThe book showdown was totally epic for me and I anticipate and enjoy it every time. There are just too many moments though!
Lol, that was a really bad-arse moment! The showdown was super epic and awesome. The whole entire series is leading up to the showdown and it did not disappoint.
