Harry Potter Moment of the Week (88)

Harry Potter Moment of the Week is a meme hosted by Uncorked Thoughts and Lunar Rainbows. The aim of this meme is to share with fellow bloggers a character, spell, chapter, object or quote from the books/films/J. K. Rowling herself or anything Potter related! A list of upcoming topics can be found here.

This week's topic is:
If You Had to Use One, Which Unforgivable Curse Would You Use?

Only if I found myself in imminent, extreme, mortal peril from an attacking wizard or witch or had to help someone who was in such danger, I'd try Imperio first to see if I could get the attacker to stand down that way. If that didn't work, then I'd escalate to Crucio, but just to distract the other person enough to make a run for it. I really don't think I could bring myself to ever cast Avada Kedavra, even if my life depended on it.

  1. I feel the same way Lee^^ ONLY ever as a last resort and the use of Imperio would be as a distraction to get myself away. Last resort I'd give Crucio a try but I honestly don't think I'd ever use Avada Kedavra O.O

    1. Fake Moody's in-class demonstration of all three curses on those poor spiders was horrible. :( And to think that Voldemort and his followers used them regularly ... *shivers*

  2. I'll go for the kill and do Acada Kedavra... I imagine myself being a UF heroine battling rabid vampires as I cast it... hehehe

  3. That's exactly the way to go from my point of view as well! I feel like my life would definitely depend on it to cause me to use any of them and Imperio would be first.

    1. I'd hope to never find myself in a situation where casting one of those spells was the only option. :/
