Favorite Moment in Book 4
Maybe the approaching holiday season has subconsciously influenced my pick, but I've always loved the Yule Ball. I especially love how it was brought to life in the film—the Great Hall looks absolutely breathtaking. Who can forget Ron's fashion disaster with his dress robes, or the drama Harry and Ron experience scrambling to find dates for the evening? The boys' shock over Hermione turning up with Krum makes me laugh, too. This is such a fun event and a much needed lighter moment in a book that turns very dark later on.
Oh the Yule Ball! Perfect choice for this time of year, you're right! The Yule Ball was so brilliant, we really got to see that Harry, Ron & Hermione were growing into young adults! Poor Ron and his robes haha! I couldn't agree more, the Yule Ball scenes were perfect to lighten up an otherwise much darker book! Awesome choice ^^
ReplyDeleteThis book was such a turning point in the series in both tone and character development. There are so many mini-dramas going on at the ball, and it was a great way to bring all of those subplots together. Yet another demonstration of J. K. Rowling's genius!
DeleteLoved the Yule Ball! Great choice. I miss this series so much. I think I need to find time for a re-read.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read the series all the way through in ages and am seriously due for a reread, too.
DeleteHa, the Yule Ball was a fun affair! And I agree, it was so amazingly done in the movies, breathtaking! I loved Ron's disaster and jealousy, and Hermione being the girl of the evening. Awesome pick!
ReplyDeleteIn the movie, when the doors to the Great Hall were opened, I was just blown away by the beauty of it all. I also loved how freaked out Harry was about having to dance the first dance along with the other Champions!
DeleteAhhh completely agree. I loved the Yule Ball. Everything about it really :). I loved how it was made or the films as well, so beautiful and perfect!
ReplyDeleteEveryone definitely needed a break from the stress of the tournament, and this was the perfect occasion for everyone to just have some fun!
