August meant back to school for some of us—Ally began her senior year of high school, Melissa her freshman year of college. So from now until May, it'll pretty much be me posting around here while Ally and Melissa are occupied with their school work (I can't say I miss those days of reading nothing but textbooks. At all.).

ReplyDeleteHope you have a great school year, too! The summer went by so, so fast!
DeleteGood luck to Ally & Melissa with your school work! I understand how school work can be so important and being unable to blog. I had to stop blogging (and reading)for months when I was in school last school year, but I just graduated & am so relieved that I'll have more time to write and blog. I agree 100% with you, Lee. I don't miss reading textbooks at all!!!! Looks like you read a lot in August. Man, your the amount you read intimates me. lol
ReplyDeleteI majored in Computer Science in college, and though I loved the subject, computer textbooks are some of the most dryly written academic works you can read, lol. I'm still trying to make up for all the reading time I lost when I was in high school and college, especially when it comes to YA.
DeleteBest of luck to both Ally and Melissa with their upcoming school years!! I certainly don't envy them, I would NOT want to be back with my nose in textbooks either. You ladies had another fantastic month reading-wise though, WOW! I wish I could read just as much :) Happy September!
ReplyDeleteI was looking at some of Melissa's college textbooks the other day, and I'd forgotten how HUGE they can be! They're also ridiculously expensive; I think she paid about $400 for FOUR textbooks!
