Stacking the Shelves (44)

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews. It's an opportunity for everyone to share the new books that we've acquired.

I've never read manga before, but I LOVE the Ouran High School Host Club anime, own the series on Blu-Ray, and have had my eye on the box set of all the manga volumes since it was released last year. Thanks to an Amazon gift card and some reward points available to redeem, I finally got it. I love how all of the individual volumes are packaged in one cool case, and there's even a convenient carrying handle on top of the box. I can't wait to start reading these because I absolutely adore these characters!

Bought:

Ouran High School Host Club Box Set by Bisco Hatori

eBooks Bought:

The Madman's Daughter by Megan Shepherd
Hopeless by Colleen Hoover
A Place Beyond Courage by Elizabeth Chadwick

    1. I'm a huge fan of the Ouran anime, so I just had to check out the manga, too. Ally is the manga/anime expert in the family, so I just ask her for recommendations, lol.

    1. I became obsessed with the anime series (and still kind of am) after Ally introduced me to it, which then made me want to read the manga. I knew nothing about anime or manga until Ally started educating me about both, lol.

  12. I'll have to let my HS anime fans know about those manga. I bet they'd enjoy them. I read The Madman's Daughter and have very mixed feelings about it. I hope you are less conflicted when you read it. Come see what I got this week at Ms. Martin Teaches Media and Inside of a Dog. Happy reading!

    1. The story lines in the Ouran anime were fantastic, and I can't wait to read them in their entirety, plus the ones that didn't make it into the anime, in the manga.
