Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews. It's an opportunity for everyone to share the new books that we've acquired.
Since I'm still working on some library books that I have at home (reading one now, and then one more to go), I've been trying to be good about not adding to the pile, especially since I have some review books to read, too. I did splurge a little and bought Throne of Glass as my birthday book. My cousin Ally has been hounding me to read it, and after reading the back cover, well, I'm pretty psyched to start it.
For Review:
Chase Tinker and the House of Secrets by Malia Ann HabermanPersephone's Orchard by Molly Ringle
Blackbrooke II: The Guardian by Emma Silver
Thanks to Malia Ann Haberman, Central Avenue Publishing, and Emma Silver!
Bought:
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. MaasWhat did you add to your shelves this week? Please link me up!
They all look like interesting reads. Hope you have fun reading them.

My Haul!
Ally's been raving about it nonstop since she read it, and she wasn't going to quit until I read it, lol.
DeleteI love Throne of Glass, and the review books look really interesting. I remember Blackbrooke from the clever countdown widget.
ReplyDeleteI finished Blackbrooke earlier this week, and it was just as creepy as you might expect from the widget! I'm reading Persephone's Orchard now, and I'm liking that one, too; very clever take on the Hades/Persephone myth.
DeleteOmzfg, Blackbrooke looks so damn creepy. HOW DO YOU DO IT?!
ReplyDeleteAnd you think SHE's hounding you about Throne of Glass? You haven't seen hounding yet. It's one of my all-time favorite books ever and YOU MUST MUST READ IT.
MUST READ IT.
MUST MUST READ IT.
READ IT ASAP.
Okay, I'm done. Also: I'm sorry I missed it, but happy belated birthday!! <3
Thank you! :) And I will read Throne of Glass soon, I promise!

I love fantasy, and Throne of Glass sounds exactly like my type of book. I'm glad to finally own a copy.
DeleteI want to read Throne of Glass soo bad! I keep hearing really great things about it! :)
ReplyDeleteHere's my Stacking the Shelves
I've wanted to read it for ages, and when I saw that it was out in paperback, I finally caved in and bought it.
DeleteI'm pretty sure I'm going to love it, too. I can't wait to start it!
ReplyDeleteOoo, the paperback of Throne of Glass! I have the original hardcover, and I recently got it signed when Sarah came to Baltimore for the YAGB tour! Persephone's Orchard... I'm looking that one up. It looks like something I might like :D
ReplyDeleteHave an amazing weekend!
Check out my STS post!
I'm really enjoying reading Persephone's Orchard; I'd definitely check it out if you like mythology retellings. :)
DeleteI LOVE Throne of Glass so enjoy that! One of my favorite reads from last year! :)
ReplyDeleteHere's my haul
Glad to hear you loved it! I definitely need to read it before the sequel comes out.
DeleteYou got Throne of Glass! :D
ReplyDeleteI'm planning on reading it this month; I can't wait to see what you think about it!
Enjoy all your books & thanks for stopping by my STS! (:
I hope we both enjoy it! I'll be looking forward to your review of it!
DeleteI got Persephone's Orchard too. I hope you enjoy it :D Jaclyn @ JC's Book Haven.
ReplyDeleteIt's really good so far. I can't wait to see what you think of it, too!
DeleteGreat haul!! I loved Throne of Glass and can't wait for the sequel. And I'm completely jealous of the paperback copy. I prefer paperback and the paperback copy has extra scenes. Which I most needs.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy all of your books :D

I noticed that it's becoming more and more common to see the paperback versions of books feature additional content. If it's a book that I really, really want to read, though, I usually get impatient and wind up buying the hardcover.
DeleteOoh! You bought Throne of Glass. I need to buy that myself! Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteHere's my STS!
I've wanted to read that book for so long, and it was a tough decision choosing between it and Shadow and Bone, but my cousin put in an extra good word for Throne of Glass, so I went for that.
DeleteI loved Throne of Glass and can't wait to read Crown of Midnight. That is the ARC I'll be looking for at ALA next week. Come see what I got this week at Inside of a Dog and Ms. Martin Teaches Media. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteThe upside of it taking me so long to read Throne of Glass is that I won't have to wait too long for Crown of Midnight, lol.
DeleteTHRONE OF GLASS IS AMAZING!!! haha great haul! Hope to see what you think of the books soon:)

I'm almost positive I'm going to love it, and I can't wait to start it.
DeleteWeeee YAY for Throne of Glass!! I was lucky enough to get a copy at BEA and I can NOT wait to read it! I'm thinking I'll LOVE it too so I look forward to comparing notes :D Those Chase Tinker books are one my reading list is well! Congrats on all these sweet books & ENJOY ♥
ReplyDeleteI think Throne of Glass is going to be a big hit with both of us, too! We'll DEFINITELY need to chat about it! :D
DeleteI liked Throne of Glass but didn't love it. I had a bit of a hard time with the main character and her lack of assassinating. I'm hoping she does more of that (and less talking about how awesome she is!) in the sequel. :-P
ReplyDeleteHappy reading, Lee!
~Merin @ Read and Reviewed~
More assassinating is always good, I say! I hope Crown of Midnight, which everyone seems to be reading at the moment, has more of it!
