Stacking the Shelves (30)

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews. It's an opportunity for everyone to share the new books that we've acquired.

We went to the library last week and managed to stay within our 2-book borrowing limit, despite there being a ton of lovely new books on the shelves. Again. Going there is always an adventure because we know that we're bound to see at least one book that we've been dying to read sitting on the new arrivals shelf.

Ally's Books:

Borrowed:

The Replacement by Brenna Yovanoff
Mind Games by Kiersten White

Lee's Books:

Borrowed:

The Lost Prince by Julie Kagawa

Bought:

Just One Day by Gayle Forman

What did you add to your shelves this week? Please link us up!

  1. I had Just One Day out from the library a while back, but couldn't get it read before it had to go back. I shall re-request it once the waitlist isn't so crazy long.

And I really want to read The Replacement after loving Paper Valentine! I have The Space Between out from the library right now and cannot wait to read it.

Happy reading to both of you!

    1. I really enjoyed Paper Valentine, too, and definitely want to read more of Brenna Yovanoff's books. I hope you enjoy The Space Between!

  2. Just One Day is supposed to be great, I'm looking forward to picking it up when I've tackled a few more of the books on my shelf. The Lost Prince was good, but I didn't enjoy it as much as the others in series.

The Replacements I so want to read! I got it out of my library twice and each time I ran out of time when reading other books. I hate returning my books unread. Mind Games was a DNF for me :-/ I tried to like it because I enjoyed Paranormalcy, but I just didn't get into it.

Hope you enjoy your reads :)

    1. I couldn't resist picking up Just One Day when I spotted it while out shopping. I'm really weak-willed like that sometimes, lol. I also hate returning library books unread and did so quite a few times last year, so I've put myself on a strict borrowing limit this year.

  3. Oh, interesting books girls & congrats on staying on board with the 2-book/week goal! The Replacements looks really great & I've heard good things about it! Ditto for Just One Day. Seeing the Lost Prince always makes me wish I was up to date on that Kagawa series :) Sweet haul, enjoy!!

    1. I'm really excited to read Just One Day at last. I've been dying to since it came out, but I was trying to be good about waiting to buy it. I knew that if I saw it at a decent price, I'd grab it, and that's what happened.

    1. This was the first time that I saw The Lost Prince at the library. It was perfect timing because it's fey month for the Paranormal Reading Challenge, and that's the book I planned to read for it!

  9. I really need to start reading some Gayle Forman books. I own If I Stay but it is gathering dust on a shelf.

I had not heard of The Replacement but read the description and it sounds really interesting. Adding it to my TBR list. Picking up an older book that is new to me, is my favorite part about going to the library (besides the fact that they give you books for free of course.)
