Feature & Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee's View and
Alison Can Read. It's a great way to meet other book bloggers!
Activity! Hopefully warm weather for most of us is here soon . . . so tell us about your favorite outdoor reading spot. Or take a picture.
This is Ally's backyard patio, and our favorite outdoor reading spot. Lee is very fortunate that her cousin lives within walking distance and gets to hang out at Ally's house all the time, including by the pool, because all Lee has behind her house is a giant hill that slopes downward.
If you're a new follower, be sure to let us know so that we can follow you back. Thanks for stopping by!
That looks so relaxing! Wish I had a pool like that to read by !

My #FF
It is nice to sit out there and just relax with a good book. We read most of the A Song of Ice and Fire books in that spot.
DeleteOooh reading by the pool is so relaxing! It makes me wish for summer *sigh* Hope you have a good Friday :)
ReplyDeleteHere's my FF!
Our winters are typically mild, but it's been on the chilly side this year. I actually hope it stays that way for a little longer before the really hot weather begins.
DeleteReading by the pool does sound like fun! I don't think I did that at ALL last summer. Need to remedy that this year. :D Old Follower via GFC. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteMy FF.
I hope you get to spend some reading time by the pool this summer! It's one of my favorite ways to relax.
DeleteI would love to read by a pool like that!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the follow

DeleteThanks for stopping by my blog!
ReplyDeleteUh, I wanna come crash your garden... my one is about a quarter of that size, and I only have a pool in my dreams!
Following you back :)
I was shocked by the size of Ally's yard the first time I saw it because we both previously lived in NY and had tiny slabs of concrete for yards, lol. Thanks for following!
DeleteOh my goodness, I have a picture of a pool on my post too, the blow up kind! The scene sure looks tranquil, but I can't imagine a dry spot of concrete with my boys around. New RSS follower. This is my FF.
ReplyDeleteNormally, the patio is quite noisy and covered in water when everybody's out there. We love having water gun fights! I happened to catch it at a quiet moment with the camera that day. Thanks for following!
DeleteIt gets unbearably hot here in the summer, so when we do hang out in the yard, it's towards the evening when there's usually a breeze.
ReplyDeleteI also read by my pool!
ReplyDeleteNew follower via GFC! :)

It's so relaxing to read there in the warm weather. Thanks for following!
DeleteI am jealous! I wish I had that at my house! ;) I read when in my parents pool when they have it up, but I probably won't be doing to much of that now that most of my books are on a kindle now!

My F&F
That's definitely best- the Kindle probably isn't very water-friendly, lol. Thanks for following!
DeleteThanks for stopping by! That is a great place to read! I wish I had a pool to sit by :-) Love your blog, following back via GFC.
ReplyDeleteChelsea @ Starbucks & Books Obsession
It's really nice to be able to read after a swim. Thanks for following!

ReplyDeleteEmily @ Counting in Bookcases- 400th follower! Congrats!
Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier! I followed you on NB, GFC, and followed your twitter! :)
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a pool at my house! I guess I can settle for the one on campus though. Hehe
That pool is gorgeous! If I had one it would probably be my favorite spot to read too! :) New follower, check me out at:

I sometimes wish I had at least a finished patio in my yard; there's nothing back there but a square patch of concrete and a big hill! Thanks for following!
DeleteI love reading by my parents' pool and I make sure to visit every weekend during summer!
ReplyDeleteIt's such a fantastic place to unwind!
DeleteThat is a great place to read.
ReplyDeleteIf I had such a great place to read it would also be my favorite place.

We hope to start spending some time out there soon, once the weather decides to stay warm.
DeleteWoah, this is nice. Way to cool down while the sun is hot :)
ReplyDeleteFeature & Follow
Definitely, especially since the summer months are so hot here.
DeleteGreat picture and place to read! I'm jealous :-P
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!!
Here's my FF.
I thought I was going to have to take a picture in the dark last night then remembered I had this daylight photo.
DeleteWhat a great spot! I'd been too concerned that someone would splash and the book would get wet!

Sabina @ Delirious About Books
Luckily, the table and chairs are a comfortable distance from the water because we wouldn't want our books to get wet, either.
DeleteOoh, looks great. I love sitting by the pool and reading when I'm on holiday (far too cold here!)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, I'm following you too now :)
My FF
One day I'd like to travel around the world and read in a bunch of different places. Thanks for following!
DeleteThat is a very nice spot! I would love to have a swimming poo, but I guess with all the cold weather we have here it probably isn't wise. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
Nina@J'adore Happy Endings
We've had some quite cool temperatures this winter, so right now, that pool is freezing!
DeleteGreat spot!!! A gaint hill isn't so bad, my whole backyard is just a hill going downward.

I love the view from the top of the hill behind my house, but it's quite a steep walk down, and a horrible climb upward.
DeleteWhat a nice pool!!! I wish I had my own pool- I have to drive over to my aunt's because I won't use the neighborhood pool! LOL.

I thought about maybe putting a small pool in my yard, but I wasn't sure how ambitious I'd be about maintaining it. It's a lot easier to just go over to Ally's house for a swim!
DeleteThis is amazing! I've always wanted to have a house with a pool, but only got a big backyard :D It's really pretty! And looks like it would make a great reading spot in summer.
ReplyDeleteSomeday I'd like to put a finished patio and screenhouse in my yard. It'd be nice to be able to sit back there with a book when it's not too hot.
DeleteSo much luck! I wish I had a pool like that to read there! When is warm I just go in the park on sit at a table outside with a cup of coffee.
ReplyDeleteNew follower! :)

We sometimes go walking on the bike/hiking trail that we have here, and we pass this lovely little park on the way that looks like a nice reading spot. We definitely need to go there one day with our books and maybe lunch.
DeleteOMG! That's a relaxing reading spot you got there! I love the pool! :)

Everyone was so busy last summer that we didn't get to spend too much time out there. We have to try to make some time this summer. Thanks for following!
DeleteA great place to read.
ReplyDeletehttp://tributebooksmama.blogspot.com/2013/03/feature-follow_15.html
It really is!
DeleteOh, I am jealous. It is usually too hot here to read outside. I like my AC too much.
ReplyDeleteOld follower.
I couldn't be without the AC in the summer, but I do like getting fresh air when I can. At least the summer evenings are usually breezy.
DeleteOh how fabulous is that?! AND walking distance too ♥ I looks kind of like the pool my cousin's mom has in her backyard...though sadly it is not walking distance from me.
ReplyDeleteI'm relaxing just looking at this picture!! Sigh, oh Summer & reading by the water :D Thanks for sharing girls!
I wish that it were warm enough to hang out there right now. It's so easy to lose track of time reading on the patio.
DeleteAw wow! I would absolutely love to read by the pool! It looks so relaxing!
ReplyDeleteKyra @ Blog of a Bookaholic
My FF Post!
I lose track of time very easily when I read back there, especially when the weather is nice.
DeleteNice!! If I had that, it would probably be my favorite too! :)

As long as it wasn't the middle of summer, when the sun just beats down here, I could spend all day out there.

Wow, nice pool. I don't know if I would ever want to read by the pool, but it would be great to cool off in the summer!
ReplyDeleteThe temperatures typically stay in the high 90s during the summer months here, so a pool is very handy to have for cooling off!
DeleteThanks for stopping by, I'm following back! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for following!
DeleteI say in my post that I like to read inside for the most part, but if I had a pool like that, I might change my mind!

DeleteAhh so jealous! Wish I had a pool in the back!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to build at least a patio in my yard one day. All that's out there is a grassy hill!
