Know Me Better (3)

Know Me Better is a weekly meme hosted by I Am a Reader, Not a Writer.

Top 5 songs on your playlist?
Lee: Right now, the entire Les Misérables movie soundtrack.
Ally: Same as Lee, I’ve recently become obsessed with Les Miz.

How much time do you spend reading each week?
Lee: I try to squeeze in 1-2 hours a day, usually at night.
Ally: It depends on how much spare time I have. It can range from hours to minutes.

What is the last thing you Googled?
Lee: The current pollen count. My allergies are really bad at the moment.
Ally: I actually Googled a picture of the French flag. It was for my nails; my sister Melissa was painting them Les Miz style for me!

Favorite places to travel?
Lee: I haven’t been back to my old home, New York City, in about three years and would love to see it again, but there are zero funds in the travel budget right now.
Ally: I’ve never really traveled before, but I would like to go tour Europe someday.

What is your favorite way to spend a rainy day?
Lee: Reading in front of the TV.
Ally: Reading, with a nice cup of tea and some background music.

  1. This is actually the first that I've heard of this meme. I may have to look into doing it! I've become obsessed with Les Miserables as well. I absolutely loved the movie and the music was incredible! I can't wait until it is finally out on DVD so I can watch it as many times as I want.

    1. Ally and I saw the movie twice and would happily go over and over again if it weren't so expensive. We can't wait for the DVD, either!

    1. I've been wondering why I've had a horrible headache all week- the pollen count is almost to the max. Sometimes I really hate living in a climate with mild winters.

I've loved Les Miz since I was in college; I spent a lot of late nights studying with the musical soundtrack playing in the background.

I definitely think we are kindred spirits, Braine!

  3. Looks like you two have a lot in common with these questions.

My allergies can get pretty bad too. Sorry, Lee!

Y'all have the way to spend the rainy afternoon nailed down for sure.

    1. Ally and I do tend to like a lot of the same books, and she's now a Les Miz fanatic like me. Sorry to hear that you're an allergy sufferer, too!

    1. I like having background noise when I read, and it's usually the TV, although sometimes I'll listen to music instead.

  6. I haven't actually watched Les Miz yet, but I've heard great things about the soundtrack. I may have to check it out! And Lee, I usually spend the same amount of time reading and at the same time of day too. I would love to read during the day more often if it was possible though!

    1. I hope you get the chance to check out the soundtrack! I love that the actors sang live in the movie instead of lip-synching to prerecorded tracks. And I absolutely wish that there were more hours in a day so that I could devote them to reading.

  11. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
When I went to Montreal I also went to New York and I do want to go back someday! We went on a guided tour so we didn't really get to do much. We only stayed there for 3 days.

    1. It's really hard to see everything in NY in 3 days. I hope that you get to visit it again one day and have more time to spend there!
