Alison Can Read. It's a great way to meet other book bloggers!
This week's question is:
What book do you think would make a great Halloween movie? Please explain in graphic detail of goriness . . .
Just based on the title alone, Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake would make a perfect Halloween movie. It's definitely scary and probably not the type of book you want to read in the middle of the night with only a minimal amount of lights on. Emma Silver's Blackbrooke, with its grotesque, human-hunting Crits that come out at night to hunt their prey, would also make an excellent horror film.

Anna's been quite a popular answer for this question--I really need to read it soon! Preferably around halloween....
ReplyDeleteI hadn't heard of Blackbrooke, but man does it sound creepy!
Anna is a perfect Halloween read, and it's just an amazing book. Blackbrooke is really creepy, and it actually made me want to read more horror. I wasn't exactly a big fan of the genre until I read that book.
DeleteAnna Dressed in Blood is very popular tonight. Wowza. Thank you for continuing to follow, and I believe I am still following 8) Thank you for being awesome. And if you ever read The Forest of Hands and Teeth I hope to read your review. 8)

Love is not a triangle
I read Anna after lots of arm-twisting by my cousin, Melissa, who read it first and loved it. I'm glad that she was so persistent about getting me to read it!

Anna is probably everywhere today- it's the first book that I thought of for Halloween. And Blackbrooke is really creepy- I'd probably be too chicken to watch the movie version.

ReplyDeleteJ'adore Happy Endings
I'm still pretty wimpy when it comes to watching horror movies, so I don't know if I'd go see it. The book was fantastic, though.
DeleteAnna is def a favorite but I've seen Blackbrooke around a lot too!

DeleteGreat choices! I haven't read either but they both sound like they'd scare me senseless if I did. I can imagine Anna Dressed in Blood as super gory and creepy! Now I don't think I could watch it (if it was a movie) as me and scary movies do not go well at all!
ReplyDeleteThanks for following my blog! New follower :)

As much as I loved the book, I don't think that I'd be brave enough to see the movie because I don't get along with scary movies, either!
