Fandom Mashups (65)

Fandom Mashups is a feature hosted by Lunar Rainbows Reviews. There's a different scenario each week, and you choose a "dream team" of five characters from five different fandoms whom you think are best suited for the situation.

This week's topic is:
You've gained ELEMENTAL MAGIC! First tell us which element(s) you have an affinity for and then tell us: which characters are going to train you up?

I'm going with FIRE, just because I want to hang out with this crew:

  1. Zuko (Avatar: The Last Airbender): Ummm, I kind of chose fire because of him? XD
  2. Aelin (Throne of Glass): If you want to learn how to be a fire-breathing bitch queen, you need to learn from the best.
  3. Dumbledore (Harry Potter): The scene in Half-Blood Prince when Dumbledore ignites the cave with fire to drive back the Inferi and rescue Harry still gives me the chills.
  4. Kell (Shades of Magic): Kell is adept at every type of elemental magic, so I'm sure he wouldn't mind giving me a few fire lessons.
  5. Christian Ozera (Vampire Academy): Fire is Christian's specialty, and I have the utmost confidence in his training skills.

  1. Ok. Our posts our eerily similar LMAO! Great minds ;) I love it ♥ I still need to read VA though but the rest of these picks are on point! I had a feeling you'd go with Zuko and now I wish I'd gone with him too XD He's the best!

    1. That's how we usually roll with our teams each week LOLOL! Aang also would've been perfect, especially with Kell around (I bet those two would have so much fun trying to outdo each other at every element!), but you know me- I love my Zuko! XD

  2. I love elemental stuff- the thought of creatures who can control the elements or whatever. I'd probably go with air or water myself. Problem is I can't think of teams of my own- I guess I need to read more elemental- themed books! So I'll go with your list- looks pretty good.

I like the idea of creating an elemental from the various elements- maybe an air elemental from the wind, a water elemental in the ocean or a typhoon or waterspout, fire elementals in a volcanic eruption, etc. So much you can do!

    1. Air and water are also such awesome elements- actually, they all are, LOL! Binge watching Avatar: The Last Airbender really gave me an appreciation for elemental magic; that show just made every element seem so incredibly cool!

  3. This is such a fun week! I would definitely go with fire, possibly water - and I think I'd like Bartimaeus from the Bartimaeus Trilogy to be among my team. :)

    1. I'm thinking that maybe I should get some training with water magic as well just in case something goes amiss with the fire, LOL!

  4. Ooh, I LOVE this question! Elemental magic (or, you know, magic in general) really appeals to me, so I think I'd go with...fire or air. Probably fire more though, if I'm being honest: I can just burn the exams my monstrous teachers are giving the class and KABBOM! Freedom. Or use air to blow them away.

  6. I LOVE this group! It's even funnier to me because I'm reading two books right now and they both have fire users as the main characters. The only one that I'm not familiar with is Kell but Shade is definitely on my list to read soon. I am not sure I would've thought of using Dumbledore for this one, but he's a great fit!

    1. That's too funny that you're reading about fire users at the moment, lol! I can't wait for you to start Shades of Magic; the 3rd and final book is set to come out in January, I think. I know you like to read series once they're complete, so this way you can start planning for Shades of Magic now, LOL!
