Favorite Quote from Chamber of Secrets
It's been far too long since I've read all of the books, so I'm going with one of the few CoS quotes that I can remember off the top of my head, lol. But I also love this quote because it's quintessential Dumbledore:
Dumbledore had not taken his bright blue eyes off Lucius Malfoy's cold gray ones.
"However," said Dumbledore, speaking very slowly and clearly so that none of them could miss a word, "you will find that I will only truly have left this school when none here are loyal to me. You will also find that help will always be given at Hogwarts to those who ask for it."
Ah! Dumbledore! He has THE best quotes in the series - I just love his wisdom and insight. Oh and I haven't read the books in far too long either...I used to read them like once a year! I'm thinking this year, I might just do a reread :D

ReplyDeleteI totally had to look at my copy of CoS for the exact wording of the quote, lol. Malfoy had bullied the other school governors into suspending Dumbledore, and that was Dumbledore's response.
DeleteYes! I love that quote :D He basically tells them, you can't get rid of me, sorry. I also am glad that Harry remembered that particular quote!
