Best Hogwarts Teacher
Hogwarts is lucky to have many amazing teachers, but I think the best teacher will always be Professor Lupin. I am slightly biased because Remus is one of my favorite characters, but I really do think he made a great teacher. He taught his students a lot of valuable things and was one of the most qualified people to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts. Remus showed that he cared about his students and allowed his students to study DADA in a safe, practical setting. I’ll never forget the boggart scene, lol. I also credit Professor Lupin for being the best teacher because of the fact that he was the only professor who actually resigned from the DADA position during that terrible unlucky streak, rather than being fired, injured, or killed.
I have so much love for Lupin, as a teacher, as a person, as a tragic being, that sometimes it feels like my heart might explode because of it. I remember the first time I read the series, when he resigns his post, I wanted to cry. He was THE BEST DADA teacher to ever come to Hogwarts and he just fit in so perfectly that I couldn't imagine going without him. And Harry needed him too *sobs* Gah! I wish we'd had more time with him...
ReplyDeleteAww, me too! Despite how upsetting it was to see him resign, it says a lot about his character that he would put the safety of his students before himself. I have lots of love for Remus. <3
DeleteMy apple goes to McGonagal and Hagrid!
ReplyDeleteOh, I definitely love them too! Just not as much as I love Remus, lol.
DeleteI love Lupin as well, I think he makes Harry a better person and gives him such sage advice!
ReplyDeleteHaha, yeah, he definitely is a wise mentor to Harry. It made me sad to see their relationship kind of fall apart in Deathly Hallows.
DeleteHa Ha! That's great. That he was the only one that resigned does say a lot. He cared about the fact that the students learn Defense Against the Dark Arts instead of all being worried about him being a werewolf, and freaking the parents out. I love the boggart scene as well. Plus, he taught Harry the expecto patronum. Great choice!
