WHEEEEEEEE!!! Can you tell I'm a little excited about this? And the season premiere is only 10 weeks away! (Damn, I need to move my ass on rewatching and recapping the first two seasons.) Seeing the trailer somewhat helps to buoy my spirits after the news that there will be no new A Song of Ice and Fire book in 2015. Womp womp.
With the books and the TV show nearly even with each other (Bran's story line actually caught up with the books at the end of last season), Season 5 should make for some very interesting viewing for fans who've read the books. One notable departure from the novels is Jaime going to Dorne, the seat of House Martell. As if anyone could forget what happened to Prince Oberyn Martell, the Red Viper of Dorne, last season. So Jaime probably shouldn't expect a warm welcome there, especially from the Red Viper's badass daughters, the Sand Snakes, whom it looks like you get a glimpse of in the trailer.
Poor Tyrion is on the run from the hit a vengeful Cersei has put out on him. In a conversation with Varys, the Spider seems to reveal where his loyalty lies. But this is still Varys, so you never know.
Littlefinger—EWWWWWWW. I sincerely hope Sansa is packing some kind of weapon.
