I really love composing book spine poetry—probably the only poetry I can decently write, lol. I was looking through my shelves and noticed I had quite a few books with "shadow" in the title, so that was my inspiration here:
Shadows:
The shadow of the wind,
Shadow of night,
Silver shadows.
Changeless
Timeless
Linger forever
In the afterlight.
Be sure to leave a link to your book spine poetry so I can check it out! :)
Loving your poem! You done such an amazing job on it! Mine isn't too great, and it took me FOREVER to come up with it haha, but at least I tried :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure yours is awesome! I'll be checking it out in a minute! :)
DeleteWow! I love your poem! It is beautiful and the book titles you picked really work well together! You did an amazing job!
ReplyDeleteStephanie @ My Bookish Itinerary
Thanks! I was lucky to have a few books on hand with a common theme, lol!
DeleteExcellent poem!
ReplyDeleteAwesome poetry! So creative. I didn't do one and now I wish I had tried :( But I only signed up for the Love-a-Thon yesterday so I didn't have much time haha.
ReplyDeleteYou should definitely give it a try next time! I find it hard to get started, but once I put a few titles together, it sort of just comes together.
DeleteThis is brilliant. I really love how the whole thing is about shadows. I find these so hard to do but I really love attempting to do them and I love reading them too.
ReplyDeleteI love reading them, too! I'm completely in awe of everyone's creativity!
DeleteThis is gorgeous! You did a great job. I love the theme and that it rhymed a bit. <3
ReplyDeleteStefani @ Caught Read Handed
Any rhyming was totally unintentional- I was just trying to have the poem make some sense, lol!
DeleteThat's beautiful! I love it. <3
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteBravo! See, I don't have the creative mind nor the patience for this. I think I will end up pulling my hair trying to come up with one.
ReplyDeleteOh, I think you could totally do this! You should give it a shot some time. :)
DeleteThis is a lovely poem! I think you did an incredible job capturing a sense of lingering, which makes sense with the shadows theme.
ReplyDeleteThank you! :) This was one of my better attempts at book spine poetry, lol.
DeleteI enjoy spine poetry but I just don't get enough time to do it! Why do we never get time for all the fun stuff!
ReplyDeleteI know! It's been tough lately just finding spare time to get some reading done. I sometimes seriously consider taking a book vacation, where I don't actually go anywhere but just stay home and read, lol.
