In just a few weeks, Ally, The Melissa, and I will be heading to Nashville for UtopYA Con! Not only is this our first ever bookish event, but it's also our first road trip together. None of us has ever been to Nashville, either, so this is an all-around big adventure for everyone.
A definite upside to driving is not having to worry about luggage restrictions (within reason, of course. My car is pretty roomy, but not, like, 20 boxes of books roomy.). I have also already been threatened with being forced to do push-ups or jumping jacks or some other form of exercise if I make any reference whatsoever to work while I'm on vacation.
We're extremely excited to finally be attending a bookish con, as well as looking forward to exploring Nashville. We're also psyched to meet fellow bloggers, so if you're going to be there, we'd love to say hi!
Eeeep, this sounds like SO MUCH FUN! I'm so happy that you guys get to attend UtopYA Con!! And all you three together too :D I agree about driving being fun because you don't have to watch luggage restrictions...DEFINITELY a plus where books are involved ;-) We debated flying to NYC this year but in the end we decided driving was best! Oh and I agree: no talking about work! HAVE FUN ladies and enjoy Nashville and your 1st bookish event!! xxxx Woot!
ReplyDeleteOMG- NYC road trip?!!! I can't wait to hear all about your adventures! :D You ladies are extremely courageous to brave that traffic, and I salute you! I didn't get my driver's license until after I left NY, lol; I was very content being a pedestrian or using mass transit all those years. But, driving is definitely a lot more economical than flying, especially when you have books to bring home! I hope you have an awesome, awesome trip!
