Feature & Follow Friday (13)

Feature & Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee's View and
Alison Can Read. It's a great way to meet other book bloggers!

This week's question is:
Q: What are you reading right now? How do you like it?

Ally's been super busy with school and band practice lately, so I don't think that she's reading anything at the moment that isn't school-related. My current read is Looking for Alaska by John Green. It's the first time I'm reading one of his novels, and although I can see why so many people love his books (he is an amazing writer), I'm not sure how I like the actual story and some of the characters so far.

If you're a new follower, be sure to let us know so that we can follow you back. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Everyone loves and raves about John Green and some of his books, but I have yet to read any of them. I feel guilty for thinking that his books aren't up my alley :/

    1. Sometimes that happens. There are a lot of books that everyone seemed to love but when I read them, I wasn't crazy over them.

    1. I've wanted to check out his books for a while, but they were always out at the library. Two were finally back in the last time I went, so I borrowed both Looking for Alaska and Paper Towns.

  6. This was the first John Green book that I read so it holds a special place in my heart lol. I actually read this for a book club and there was plenty of mixed opinions on certain characters and events. It's a interesting read for sure.

  17. Hi there-- I totally know what you mean! I read The Fault in Our Stars because everyone was RAVING about it-- and I wasn't as in love with it as everyone else. I see why people really like him, but he's just not for me, I think.

    1. I'm hoping that the story really gets rolling because right now it's in a bit of a lull. Even if it doesn't, I'll still read Paper Towns; it might just be this particular book that I'm having trouble getting into. If Paper Towns doesn't work out, then his books probably aren't for me, either.

      Thanks for dropping by!
