Alison Can Read. It's a great way to meet other book bloggers!
This week's question is:
It's not the worst cover ever, but it really doesn't do justice to how amazing the book (and the series) is. And if that's supposed to be Adrian on the cover with Sydney, why is only half of his face showing? Seriously? You do not put half of Adrian Ivashkov's face on a book cover!
If you're a new follower, be sure to let us know so that we can follow you back. Thanks for stopping by!

LOL I agree, Adrian deserves his whole face on there!! Old GFC Follower!

~Caitlin :)
I have no problem with Sydney, but if Adrian had gotten the whole cover to himself, well . . . I wouldn't have minded at all, lol! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteYes! Totally agree! I hate the choice for Adrian on this one and why the heck wan't he featured more! I think the cover to the third book in this series is even worse! ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my lovelies!
Happy Friday!
When I first saw the cover for The Indigo Spell, all I could think was, who is this new guy and why is he taking up valuable space that clearly should have been given to Adrian? Of course, this won't keep me from reading the book, lol.
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
YES! I can't believe I forgot about this book! Boy was I disappointed when I saw the cover of this one... that's definitely not how I pictured either character.
ReplyDeleteHere's my FF
Happy Friday! :)
I didn't picture the characters like this, either. The cover is rather disappointing compared to how awesome the book is.
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
I agree! Haven't started on the Bloodlines series yet, but I'm certainly not being encouraged by this cover, haha. :) New follower!

Mary @ Books Equal Brains!
I love the series, but the book covers . . . not so much. The books are fantastic, so this is definitely a case in which the book shouldn't be judged by the cover.
DeleteThanks for stopping by and following!
I am not a fan of this girl either. She looks so haughty compared to "rose" of VA.

Yeah, this isn't how I pictured Sydney. I wasn't too crazy over the VA covers, either, but I did think that they got better as the series went along.
DeleteThanks for stopping by and following!
I completely agree with you! I haven't read this series as yet but hope to soon.
ReplyDeleteMy FF Post
It's one of my favorite series. I hope you like it, too!
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
I have not read this series. But it would be nice to see the guys whole face lol new follower via GFC
ReplyDeleteMy FF
I agree, especially since he's such an important character.
DeleteThanks for stopping by and following!
It isn't the best cover ever, but it could be worse. Just go and look at my pic! LOL!

DeleteAww, I quite like that cover. Admittedly I've yet to read it so may change my mind once I get round to it :).
ReplyDeleteNew follower!
Here's my FF :)
I just expected a cover with a bit more of a wow factor for such an awesome book. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did!
DeleteThanks for stopping by and following!
Heey
ReplyDeleteThe cover does look a bit...weird. Maybe because I didn't read the book, but yes, why only put half a guy's face on the cover?
I'm a new follower, thanks for sharing! :)
My Friday post
Juli @ Universe in Words
Adrian would not be happy about only half of his face being on the cover, lol.
DeleteThanks for stopping by and following!
lol, that cover is not too appealing! haha I still need to read that series!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great series, and you should definitely read it. Have you read the Vampire Academy books yet? Bloodlines is the spin-off, and I recommend reading VA first (loved that series, too).
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
I definitely agree. The cover is alright but the book is REALLY good. New follower :)
ReplyDeleteMy FF: World of Books
Exactly! The book is SO good, yet the cover is kind of underwhelming.
DeleteThanks for stopping by and following!
Haven't read Bloodlines yet, but it's a pretty boring cover.
ReplyDeleteI love the Bloodlines series and wish that the covers did a better job of conveying how great the books are.
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
Closely cropped faces seem to equal 'dark and mysterious' now -- I feel like I've seen a slew of covers with only half a face on them. If you're going to advertise man-candy, go the whole way, right?
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower via GFC and Linky. My FF is here: http://nickieanderson.blogspot.com/2012/08/feature-and-follow-friday-worst-book.html
Adrian is definitely man-candy, lol. He and his ego would not approve of the cropping that was done for this cover.
DeleteThanks for stopping by and following!
I haven't read Bloodlines yet, but I do like the cover.
ReplyDeleteHere's my Follow Friday post.
Bloodlines is one of my favorite YA series. I hope that you get the chance to read it soon!
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
I love Richelle Mead's books but her covers are not the greatest.
ReplyDeleteNew Follower
Agreed- I kept putting off reading Vampire Academy because the cover didn't do anything for me. Big mistake on my part because I ended up loving that series.
DeleteThanks for stopping by and following!
I'm not a huge fan of faces on the cover, but I quite like these. Not my favorites, but certainly not the worst I've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteMy FF!
Bloodlines is one of my favorite books but not one of my favorite covers. It doesn't quite match how great the book is.
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
Nice to meet you, Christine! Thanks for stopping by and following!

ReplyDeleteHahahaha! Great answer! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by the blog and following! New follower as well.
Thanks for following!
DeleteYeah... not the best cover. But since I've heard wonderfull things about it, it's still on my TBR pile anyway!
ReplyDeleteOld follower! :D
It's a must-read, despite the so-so cover. I hope you enjoy it!
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
Ah you're right, it's not the same thing when we think about the real characters in the book.
ReplyDeleteThat is so true! Thanks for stopping by!
Deletereally, i like the cover.

I just didn't find it as impressive as the book was. Glad to hear that you like it, though!

I agree: kind of a strange cover. Thanks for stopping by my blog! Following back! Have a great weekend! :D
ReplyDeleteOmg, very funny about only half his face.
ReplyDeleteNot in the hop this week but wanted to say hi.

DeleteHmmm Adrian!! Definitely can't cut half his face off!! I totally agree!! I love this series so much and was shattered when Rose ripped his heart out and jumped over it!! Bring on the Indigo Spell!!
ReplyDeleteThanx for stopping by my FF
Naomi @ Nomi’s Paranormal Palace
I felt so bad for Adrian, too. I can't wait to see what happens in The Indigo Spell!
DeleteThanks for dropping by!
I agree that Adrian deserves more cover space. It is ADRIAN!! :) But I like the cover.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my FF!
Sorry for the late response. I have had Internet issues.
Becky @ A Reader’s Devotion
I was disappointed that he wasn't on The Golden Lily cover at all, but oh well.
DeleteThanks for dropping by! I hope that your Internet problems have been fixed. I once lost my connection for over a week, and it was beyond inconvenient, to say the least.
