Feature & Follow Friday (7)

Feature & Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee's View and
Alison Can Read. It's a great way to meet other book bloggers!

This week's question is:
Christmas in July! Someone gives you a gift card for two books (whatever that costs). What two books will you buy?

We decided to share our virtual gift card and each pick a book:

Ally would buy: Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout because everyone seems to be reading it lately, and I feel like I should read it, too. Plus, I love the cover!

Lee would buy: Looking for Alibrandi by Melina Marchetta because I love her books, and this is the only one that I don't own yet.

  1. You're right Ally, you SHOULD buy obsidian! It'll be the best money/gift voucher you ever spent ;)
And Lee, I haven't read Looking for Alibrandi but did you know they made an Aussie film of it about 15ish years ago? It was pretty good too, as far as these adaptations go.
    Great Picks, Ladies!

    1. I didn't realize that Looking for Alibrandi had been made into a movie. I'll have to check if it's available on DVD here in the US. I've heard that Jellicoe Road is being turned into a film as well, and I would absolutely go see it if it makes its way here.

      Thanks for stopping by!

  4. Thanks for stopping by my blog tonight! I have heard a lot about Obsidian and want to check it out as well. Also I agree with the comment you made on my blog - the wait list for Gone Girl is insane at my library too.

    1. The wait list at our library has over 100 people on it. I doubt that I can wait that long, so Gone Girl looks like a must-buy for me.
