As much as I'm really, really, really, really, really trying to stick to a budget this year, I've got to make allowances for all of these lovelies:
Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson
Publication Date: January 16

This comes out next week, and I'm super excited! I love Maureen Johnson's Shades of London series and am eagerly awaiting this one very much.
Tess of the Road by Rachel Hartman
Publication Date: February 27

I freaked out when I spotted ARCS of this at YALLFest and was lucky enough to snag one. Set in the same world as Rachel Hartman's fantastic Seraphina, I can't wait to return to that world.
Restore Me by Tahereh Mafi
Publication Date: March 6

When I heard that Juliette, Warner, Kenji, Warner, Warner, Warner, Warner were returning for more books, my first thought was, "WHAAAAAAAT????!!!! MORE WARNER????!!!!!!!!" So, um, yeah, I'm a tad excited to read this book. Possibly because of Warner. XD
Defy the Worlds by Claudia Gray
Publication Date: April 3
![](https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2W1BJwNU_fM/WlgjV3xPUAI/AAAAAAAAFNc/mhw8wyTAKUApg692R_pSvMixs7iWGjX2gCLcBGAs/s320/defy-the-worlds-claudia-gray.jpg)
I just about jumped for joy when I held an ARC of this in my hands at YALLFest. Defy the Stars was one of my favorite reads last year, and anyone who's looking for a bit of a Westworld fix while waiting for the show to return might want to check out this series.
A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas
Publication Date: May 1

Like everyone else who's enjoyed the A Court of Thorns and Roses series, I'm curious to see where the story heads next.
Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare
Publication Date: December 4

Oops, I didn't get to Lord of Shadows last year, but I've got a bit of time to catch up before this final book in The Dark Artifices releases.
And, of course, there's:
Throne of Glass 7 by Sarah J. Maas
It's too early for a title or cover, but I know one thing that's certain: this book is probably going to absolutely wreck me. And I can't wait! XD
Are any of these books on your TBR? What other 2018 releases are you looking forward to reading?

So many amazing books coming out in 2018! Defy the Worlds is one I'm definitely looking forward to!!

I'm so excited for Defy the Worlds! I'm not a big sci-fi reader, but I LOVED Defy the Stars!
DeleteNice list Lee! I am pretty excited for Defy the Worlds! I really enjoyed Defy the Stars. I love that YA Sci Fi is so big, I hope this trend never ends lol.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely going to read A Court of Frost and Starlight, but I didn't love the last book in the series, it felt anti-climatic? Even though so much happened, I felt like I was still waiting for something, but I couldn't figure out what... I'm intrigued to see where the story goes though! I loved the secondary characters (Maybe not so much the main characters, I'm finding that a lot with Maas' series).
I really want to give the Shatter Me series another try. When I first read it, I was shipping the two main characters (Juliette and Adam was it?), but then as soon as Warner came into the picture, I switched off and put it down. But everyone else seems to have LOVED this series. I feel like that now I'm older, I might be able to enjoy it a lot more. It's a weird concept to think actually. I don't understand my own logic lol.
LOL, it makes perfect sense to me! I often wonder if I should give books that I read years ago and wasn't crazy about at the time another try, particularly books I had to read for school.
DeleteAs much as I enjoyed A Court of Wings and Ruin overall, I felt like something was missing to bridge the gap between ending Feyre and Rhys's story and spinning off into wherever A Court of Frost and Starlight is headed. Same here, though- I'm absolutely going to read it, LOL!
