Discussing Game of Thrones: Valar Dohaeris

As we're sure all our fellow fans know, last Sunday was the Season 3 premiere of Game of Thrones. We managed to film a vlog containing our thoughts on "Valar Dohaeris." Be warned that there are spoilers, so if you haven't seen the episode yet, you might want to skip the vlog. Also, around the 12:53 mark, Lee goofs and says "Lord Tyrion" when she clearly meant "Lord Tywin." She feels like an idiot.

Cousinly Conversation Vlog: Building Ally's Bookshelf

We filmed this really short video a few weeks ago but with the holidays didn't have time to post it sooner. Ally received a new bookshelf for her birthday last month, and of course assembly was required. That went pretty smoothly, and Ally has since arranged her books on the shelf. Now all that's left is for her to do a virtual bookshelf tour!

Cousinly Conversation Vlog: Our Thoughts on Les Misérables

Ally and I went to see Les Misérables and gush about it in this vlog. Melissa was kind enough to hold the camera for us and makes an audio-only appearance towards the end.

Cousinly Conversation Vlog: Our Thoughts on Breaking Dawn - Part 2

We saw Breaking Dawn - Part 2 this week and recorded a short vlog to share our thoughts on it.

Cousinly Conversation Vlog: Marching to the Beat of The Hunger Games

Today we're excited to share with you a video of our marching band's performance of our Hunger Games-themed show at a competition last weekend. It was really windy that day, so that's the whooshing sound you sometimes hear in the video. We hope you enjoy the performance!

Cousinly Conversation Vlog: The Hunger Debates

* This video contains spoilers for The Hunger Games trilogy. *

In this week's edition of Cousinly Conversation, it's sister vs. sister as Ally and Melissa reignite their never-ending Team Finnick vs. Team Peeta debate. Of course the arguments were all made in jest, and no sisterly bonds were severed after filming ended. (Apologies for the camera inexplicably zooming in and out all by itself a few times. Eventually we'll get all of these technical hiccups ironed out for good.)

Cousinly Conversation Vlog: Ally Gets Therapy for Her Reading Slump

Melissa wasn't able to join us for the vlog this week, so Ally and Melissa's brother, Denis, filled in for Melissa. We think that recording the vlog went slightly better this time, although we went off on a few tangents that were edited out. It was also one of those days when everything seemed funny, so some of the laughing outbursts had to be edited out, too. In what remains of this vlog, Ally talks about her lack of interest in reading lately, and Denis and I try to offer some helpful advice for getting back into it.

Cousinly Conversation Vlog: Rally the Readers Storms the Screen!

So we thought that it would be fun to give vlogging a try even though we're not the most photogenic people in the world. Of course on the day that we decided to do this, all three of us started coming down with colds, so we all sound weirder than usual. We also apologize for the less than stellar video quality- we shot this on my laptop's webcam because it was the only video recording equipment that was available. If we do another vlog in the future, we'll try our best to make it a vast improvement over this one. As for the video, it's basically a short, "About Us" type of thing in which we attempt to avoid looking and sounding too dorky but don't really succeed.
