The characters seem to be very wonderfully built and easy to relate to. I think it's great that the writing was so good, and even though the story-line is heart-wrenching that it is written in a way to not wreck the reader. Great review! I tend to stay away from books that focus on grief because the majority of the reading that I do is for escapism, but every once in a while, I'll find myself in the mood for this type of read. I really loved that this wasn't mawkish, and that you naturally just felt for the characters because they and their pain were so real.Lee @ Rally the Readershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03316252000736657757noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3873992034703741659.post-53802761743083807012014-07-19T10:59:59.283-04:002014-07-19T10:59:59.283-04:00You know I don't go for contemporary reads too...You know I don't go for contemporary reads too often, either, but I HAD to read this one. So much emotion is conveyed in what is a pretty quick read. I was extremely impressed with the writing, the dialogue especially. I can't wait to see what you think of it! :DLee @ Rally the Readershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03316252000736657757noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3873992034703741659.post-46179458532342738742014-07-18T15:02:40.311-04:002014-07-18T15:02:40.311-04:00Sounds absolutely amazing. I love that the characters seem to be well developed, and I'm curious to see how the topic of grief is explored. It's something I've sadly been dealing with more as I've grown older.

Great review!

-P.E. @ The Sirenic CodexAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17045558423044874125noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3873992034703741659.post-62532434759503940052014-07-18T10:44:04.496-04:002014-07-18T10:44:04.496-04:00Wow. I know you know that this isn't the kind of book I normally gravitate toward but after reading your glowing review for This is Sarah, I now want to know all about Sarah, Colin and Claire - even if that means shattering my heart into a million pieces in the process. I'd have to be in the right mood to start this one though but I still want to check it out all the same, when the time is right. The characters sound so rich and vivid, their emotions raw and overwhelming...and the way you describe the writing style sounds, well, perfect. Fantastic review Lee, thanks for putting this one on my radar! x Michelinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09220874121683955988noreply@blogger.com
